I am Steve Collins, the writer and publisher of the Everyday English series of vocabulary books for advanced students of English.

Welcome to my mini blog series!

In writing these short blogs it is my intention to introduce you to vocabulary which features in all four of my advanced English vocabulary books. I aim to do this by including these words and expressions in real conversations I have had with people or have heard other people having (this is called eavesdropping); and sometimes I will just be expressing my thoughts about life, which I hope you will find interesting, uplifting, and amusing.
